Overview of Our English & Phonics Curriculum (EYFS)

We follow a systematic, synthetic phonics approach based on the Read Write Inc programme that builds strong foundations in early reading and writing. Our programme is closely aligned with what is taught in schools and supports the key areas of communication, language, and literacy in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Whether your child is just starting to explore sounds at age 3 or progressing toward early reading and writing by age 5, our carefully structured curriculum ensures they move forward with confidence and enjoyment. Our lessons follow a clear sequence—from recognising single letter sounds to blending and segmenting words—giving your child the skills they need to become independent readers and writers.

We place a strong focus on phonemic awareness, vocabulary building, comprehension, and early writing, ensuring that every child is supported to thrive, regardless of their starting point.
